Ho Chi Minh City bans vehicles on New Year Eve

With Nguyen Hue Street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City set to host festivities, only people living in the vicinity can drive their vehicles on certain roads on New Year’s Eve.

From 6 pm to midnight December 31, Nguyen Hue Street (between Le Loi and Ton Duc Thang Steets), Nguyen Thiep Street (between Dong Khoi and Nguyen Hue Streets), Ton That Thiep Street (between Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Hue Streets), Huynh Thuc Khang Street (between Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Hue Streets), and Ngo Duc Ke Street (between Dong Khoi and Ho Tung Mau Streets) will be off-limits to outsiders’ vehicles.

From 8 pm, Nguyen Hue Street (between Le Thanh Ton and Le Loi Streets) and Le Loi Street (between Dong Khoi and Pasteur Streets) will also be closed off.
