Celebrate Tet online with Tuoi Tre
Vietnamese living abroad will not have to feel left out of theTet festivities at home as they can celebrate online withTuoi Tre (tuoitre.vn/tetonline2011) from today through March 15.
“Online with Vietnamese Tet 2011” offers activities like karaoke contests and solving crosswords and invites readers to send video clips of Tet-related activities.
The popular annual spring themed photo contest sees beautiful pictures sent by both professional and amateur photographers. People submit pictures of the festive atmosphere, family gatherings, and others and they are displayed on the website for readers to comment and rate.
It offers cash prizes worth VND51 million (US$2,600) for the best entries, including VND15 million to the winner.
On Lunar New Year’s Eve, there will be an online conference featuring famous guests like poet Do Trung Quan and literature critic Pham Xuan Nguyen.
Tuoi Tre will speak to Vietnamese students and residents abroad and ask them to share their Tet moments.
At midnight on New Year’s Eve, the first 20 readers to answer questions correctly will also get attractive prizes.
