Firm suspended for illegal multi-level marketing

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade on Friday suspended a company for operating an illegal multi-level marketing program.
On Thursday night, a joint investigation team discovered the Tran Hoang Co Ltd holding a seminar with more than 100 participants at the Liberty Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.
The attendants were promised lucrative profits if they first pay for some nutritional supplements from the Qivana Group. Their income would double, triple … if they manage to convince their friends and relatives into buying such products.
Tran Hoang Company failed to present neither the permission to hold the seminar nor the license for operating the said multi-level marketing program.
