Photo expo by Tuoi Tre reporter opens
A photography exhibition by Tuoi Tre reporter Trung Nghia kicked off Friday at Michaels Camera museum in downtown Melbourne, Australia as part of his efforts to promote Vietnamese culture in the country.
Forty one black-and-white pictures taken by Nghia in many Asian countries including Vietnam will be on display at the expo – "Asia pacific in contrast".
An Ao dai dance was performed by Vietnamese students at the opening ceremony, which was meant to forge the Asian country’s national identity in the home country of kangaroos.
A strong sense of Vietnamese countryside can be easily felt among the audience given many green bamboos put up around the exhibition area.
This photo display would somehow provide Australians with a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and people, Hoang Vinh Thanh, Vietnamese ambassador to Australia, says in his congratulatory letter to the opening ceremony.
Some of Nghia’s colleagues have highly appreciated the exhibition.
Nghia also donated 500 Australian dollars to Anglicare Victoria, an Australian welfare agency, at the ceremony.
The expo will last until June 27th.
