Hanoi’s past seen through photos

More than 200 documents, objects and photos illustrating important periods throughout the history of Hanoi are being showcased at an exhibition in Ho Chi Minh Museum in the capital city until October 25.

The exhibition, entitled Thang Long - Ha Noi - Thoi dai Ho Chi Minh (Thang Long - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh’s Age), is among various events to celebrate Hanoi’s 1,000th anniversary and is jointly organized by the National Archive Center III, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the Party Central Committee Office’s Archive Department.

Visitors will view different periods of the capital’s history including Hanoi before 1945, Hanoi during the wars against France and the US, Hanoi after the wars, and Hanoi today.
