Phu An Infrastructure Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company Monday announced a nearly US$2 billion-project to build Vietnam’s largest entertainment complex, VnExpress reported.
Covering a total area of 880 hectares in the southern province of Long An, the Happyland complex will include a park, a trade center, a hotel, and a museum, the news source said.
It quoted a company representative as saying that Happyland will combine traditional Vietnamese elements with modern touches from well-known theme parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios.
The project will break ground in January next year and is expected to open on April 24, 2014. It aims to attract some 14 million visitors a year, according toVnExpress.
