A robber last Saturday failed to crack an ATM belonging to Techcombank and fled but not before leaving a note that reads “Sorry, I’m dying, just wanted to try.”
The unknown thief broke the lock, sprayed paint over the glass to cover himself or probably herself from prying eyes and used a butane torch to crack the ATM but failed.
Police then found the strange words on the glass when they came to the scene.
The cracked ATM was located in Quang Minh industrial zone.
But more surprising than the suicide note is the fact that the ATM is just less than a meter away from the IZ’s security post.
Me Linh district police are still investigating the case.
A month ago, VND500 million was stolen from an ATM in Hanoi but the culprits are yet to be identified
