International 5-star cruises visit Ha Long Bay
Three international five-star cruises namely Arcadia, Seabourn Sojourne, and Costa Classica with around 4,000 passengers on board have just arrived at Ha Long Bay in the northern Quang Ninh province as a part of a tour to visit beauty spots across Vietnam.
Last week, the Italian Costa Classica cruise ship brought around 2,150 Chinese tourists and sailors to the bay while the Portugal Princess Daphne with 500 Australian tourists will also arrive on March 2.
The Ha Long Bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes, and comprises a 120-kilometer-long coastline and is approximately 1,553 square kilometers in size with 1969 islets.
Starting from the UK, the Arcadia with a capacity of 2,000 passengers arrived at Bai Chay port in Quang Ninh on the afternoon of February 28
At 7:00 pm, all 2,000 passengers left the ship for Ho Chi Minh City
At 8:00 am on March 1, Seabourn Sojourne, another five-star cruise ship, with more than 400 passengers on board reached Cai Lan port after two-day trip in Hong Kong

The first two passengers to come out from the ship are Maurice Karr and Bucakaton
Silvia (L) and Emilio, both from Puerto Rico, come to Vietnam for the first time
Today morning, Ha Long Bay also welcomes other cruise ship named Costa Classica, carrying 1,500 passengers. Local authorities are struggling to encourage international tourists to vote Ha Long Bay as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World
