Moving clip of dog loyalty amid Japan disaster
There have been many touching stories during and after the catastrophic earthquakes and tsunami hit northeastern Japan on March 11 that have destroyed much and killed thousands so far.
In the following clip, you will see for yourself a lesson in loyalty from a dog who refused to leave his injured canine friend behind.
The good news is that both dogs were found alive and are being cared for.
"According to a Facebook post, both dogs were found alive in Mito, Ibaraki, thanks to the efforts of Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support, and are currently in the care of a local shelter," read a description under the YouTube video.
“Wish I had a dog like that. With that kind of loyalty, I can really say that a dog is man's best friend. I mean, even if it’s not a man they're with, even if it’s just another dog they still [keep their loyalty] and concern intact,” a netizen, nicknamed WickedWeasel, wrote on Youtube.
“If I don't get married, I will get a dog,” another netizen, Mr Jacksonian, said.
Rough translation of the man speaking:
Oh, there's a dog!
He's dirty, he must have been caught in the tsunami. He's completely soiled black.
He's wearing a collar so he's a domesticated dog.
He looks stunned and scared.
Oh, there's one more! Oh maybe it's dead.
There's a dog right next to him, right where he's sitting.
He's not moving. I wonder if he's dead.
He's protecting him.
Maybe he came over to us to say "Don't come any closer".
Man, I can't watch this.
Oh he's moving, he's moving!
He's alive, thankfully he's alive.
But he's really weak. So they want someone to help them fast.
He woke up, he woke up.
They survived this terrible earthquake unharmed. Clearly they survived this terrible earthquake and tsunami.
