Over 10,000 attend Godess of Mercy Fest

More than 10,000 people flocked to the annual Godess of Mercy Festival held in Ngu Hanh Son (Five elements mountains) located in Danang central province yesterday (March 23).
This year's fest featured various acitivites like the Goddess of Mercy parade, a ceremony to pray for a prosperous nation and a happy life for humanity, unicorn-lion-dragon dances, flower offering ceremony, and drum performances.
The highlight of the event is that a large number of Buddhist monks and nuns, and pilgrims nationwide gathered at the Godess of Mercy pagoda to pray for Japanese victims struck by the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami.
They also raised funds for supporting the victims.
