HCMC music bash to welcome in 2011

Several music performances will be scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City to entertain the city’s populace and usher in the New Year 2011 during the last two days of 2010.
Vietnamese model cum pop star Ho Ngoc Ha will be on stage at a live show entiled “Sunsilk – Searching for a Dream” at Phan Dinh Phung stadium on December 30.
Her performance will feature romantic songs like “Tim lai giac mo” (Search for a dream), “Them mot lan vo tan” (One more break-up), “Yeu va duoc yeu” (Love and be loved), and “Em van muon yeu anh” (I still wanna love you).
Meanwhile, at the city’s performance center Lan Anh in District 10, a music show named “Hoa nhip tinh yeu” (One heartbeat with love) will take place on Dec 30, with the appearances of Phuong Thanh, Ho Ngoc Ha, Ngo Thanh Van, Hien Thuc, Khanh Ngoc, Yen Trang – Yen Nhi, Vinh Thien Kim, Jimmy Nguyen and Manh Dinh.
Students of the National University in Thu Duc district will be able to ring in the New Year on the school’s campus with a music show entitled “Welcome 2011”, jointly organized by Zing Me, the social networking site, and the HCMC Youth Cultural House on New Year’s Eve.
The event will attract some famous local artists like Luong Bich Huu, Minh Beo, and Quang Ha.
Last but not least, local and international tourists can kick off the new year with a spectacular music and firework performance at the 23/9 Park from December 31 to January 1.
Other music shows will be held to ring in the New Year at four locations including National Cultural– Historical Park in District 9, Cultural Center in District 12, Gia Dinh Park, Nga Ba Giong (Giong T Junction) in Hoc Mon Rural District on December 31.
