More Vietnamese workers leave Libya
Another 382 Vietnamese workers arrived in Egypt Sunday morning, bringing the total number of local workers fleeing Libya through this country to 70.
Of the 709, 185 workers employed by Korean companies SONA and Won have taken flights home.
The 382 workers, employed by another Korean company, Huyndai AMCO, have been allowed inside Cairo International Airport, the Vietnamese embassy in Egypt said.
Huyndai AMCO has promised to bring them home as quickly as possible.
For those who are still waiting, the Vietnamese embassy is providing sufficient food and beverages.
In related news, the Vietnamese embassy in Libya said 44 workers employed by the Libyan company SVLidco are also leaving for Egypt.
Another 700 Vietnamese workers are also to arrive in Egypt through Turkey.
