Coffee fair opens in Buon Ma Thuot
The coffee festival opened Thursday in the Central Highlands province of Buon Ma Thuot with 160 companies from around the world setting up 500 booths, attracting tens of thousands of locals and tourists.
All the big boys are there -- Trung Nguyen, Vinacafe, Nescafé – as are some smaller retailers.
All the booths were filled with visitors waiting to partake of the free flow of coffee or quizzes on the brew.
There is an exhibition of coffee seeds, coffee making machines, and utensils from various countries like Vietnam, Germany, and Columbia that allows visitors to get their hands on the real thing.

Bags and handicrafts made from coffee are on sale at affordable prices.
Today the country’s largest coffee filter will be on display besides a street dance and a gala night themed “Talk in the coffee way”.
