Italian pianist brings culture to Vietnam
Italian pianist, Ludovico Einaudi, will make his first performance in Vietnam at Hanoi Opera House on April 24, as part of efforts to bring his country’s contemporary culture to Vietnam.
The performance, to open the Italy-Vietnam Programme 2011, will be joined by flutist Le Thu Huong from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the Italian Embassy in Vietnam said at a press briefing in Hanoi on April 22.
Born in Turin in 1955, Ludovico Einaudi began his musical training in composition and piano at the Milan Conservatory before furthering his studies under the instruction of Luciano Berio, one of the most famous composers in the 20 th century.
With soft, meditative and often introspective melodies coupled with elegant performing style, Einaudi has drawn a large number of audiences all over the world over the past two decades. He has created music for a series of films, which won him four international awards.
