Hanoi hip-hop troupe to represent Vietnam again
Hanoi hip-hop troupe Big Toe Sunday beat Halley in the final of the Bboy genre to qualify to the Southeast Asia elimination round of the R-16 Korea World Masters Championships.
It is for the second straight time the troupe is qualifying to represent Vietnam in the regional qualifiers to be held in Malaysia next month.
Last year it beat a strong competitor from Taiwan, Soul Fresh, to win the Southeast Asian elimination round.
R-16 is an annual international festival held since 2007 by the Korea Tourism Organization to promote the country.
“R” stands for “Respect,” and 16 stands for the number of countries invited to the festival.
It will also feature the Popping and Locking genres.
