Hue festival features southern cuisine

A weeklong festival featuring foods unique to the southern region opens in Hue today.

“Southern Vietnamese Cuisine Week” will showcase dishes like vit nuong lu(barbecued duck), che thung (thung sweet soup), che ba ba (ba ba sweet soup), goi rong bien (seaweed salad) cooked by chefs from the organizers, Saigon Morin Hue hotel and Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Quoi tourist village.

Dishes will cost VND10,000-60,000.

The festival will be held on Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrians-only street along the Huong River.
