Dragon festival to take place in Hanoi

The Festival of the Dragon will take place on October 2 at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.

Some 19 Spanish artists will perform alongside 18 Vietnamese actors from the Vietnamese Circus Federation to present a free show of music, acrobatics, dance and spectacular fireworks.

Organizers from the Spanish Embassy say the event seeks to depict the legendary birth of the city of Hanoi by combining elements from traditional Vietnamese culture with Mediterranean influences.

The show will take place from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the open area in front of My Dinh National Stadium.
