Windmills, milkmaids and traditional craft workers will appear in person as the “Holland Village” visits Ho Chi Minh City between October 22 and 31, local news website VnExpress said Sunday.

The village will be put up at the September 23rd Park on Pham Ngu Lao Street with 12 traditional houses of the Dutch people, depicting daily life - the making of wooden shoes, crystal pieces, and shops selling fish, cake and cheese.

Different kinds of flowers from the tulip country will surround the houses in the village.

The event will open on the night of October 22 with a parade with orange cycles and bicycles around the city downtown streets. Dutch artists will bring several street performances to HCMC during the event.

The “Holland village” is being organized by Holland Consulate in HCMC. The event, which began in 1985, has visited many countries.
