Central city seeks investment in hotels, resorts

The central Thua Thien-Hue Province is calling for investment in several proposed hotels and resorts outside Hue.
Provincial authorities made their pitch at a tourism promotion conference in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, urging investors to build luxury resorts along beaches from Thuan An to Lang Co among other projects.
Nguyen Quoc Thanh, deputy director of the province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the local government is building urban areas outside Hue and is urging investors to develop tourism projects there.
In Hue, hotel operators are being encouraged to build more entertainment and amusement facilities to serve tourists.
Other developments like trade villages are also expected to benefit from incentives offered by the province.
Some projects in which Thua Thien-Hue Province is seeking investments
1- Conference Center and Media Arts Center: Three large sports and conference areas with 10 meeting halls, two hotels, and a media arts school among others
2 – Luong Quan Rain and Artists Village: This will consist of 150 four-star villas, 50 studios, 20 Hue food outlets, and other facilities.
3 – Bach Ma Hill Station Resort: Old villas on the hill to be restored, two five-star hotels to be built in traditional Hue style as well as traditional Hue villas.
4 – Vinh Thanh Floating Hotel: A 50-room floating hotel and other facilities.
5 – Eco Village at Lap An: 12 small boutique hotels and 500 villas.
6 Agro-tourism urban area: 2,000 traditional houses for affluent people from Hanoi and HCMC
