Son of justice boss died in a gun duel?

A man has turned himself in to the Hanoi police in connection with the killing of a son of a former Quang Ninh Province justice top official in what was apparently a gun duel.
Le Trong Nghia, 30, handed himself over Tuesday two weeks after the incident.
He admitted to accompanying Luu Quang Thac, 31, who allegedly shot Nguyen Minh Duong, aka Nguyen Tran Hoang, 30, on January 26 when the latter was walking in front of the Parkson Commercial Center in Thai Ha Street.
Police said Duong -- a son of Nguyen Hong Truong, former director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Justice Department – owed a woman VND30 million (US$1,500).
When he paid her just VND5 million, the woman contacted Nghia for collecting the rest of the money.
When Nghia called Duong and demanded the money, the two quarreled and “challenged each other to a duel,” according to Hanoi Moi, a publication of the city Communist Party Committee.
Nghia went to the scene of the “duel” with Thac who allegedly shot Duong in the chest.
Duong was found to have a military-issue K54 handgun and seven bullets on his person. A search of his rented room in Hanoi turned up a Colt and 19 bullets.
Thac is absconding.
