He can sing exactly like 13 top singers (video)

A 23-year-old student heats up YouTube when he mimics the voice of 13 famous singers, and sounds exactly like them. He can also produce saxophone sounds from his mouth.

A clip now famous among the YouTube community in Vietnam is his singing of Trinh Cong Song’s song Cat Bui (Sand and Dust). 

Mai Quoc Viet, a student at Hong Bang University in Ho Chi Minh City, is the sound-alike of Dam Vinh Hung, Ung Hoang Phuc, Lam Truong, Khanh Phuong, Duy Manh, Tuan Ngoc, Phan Dinh Tung, Che Linh, Phuong Thanh, Khanh Ly, Jimmy Nguyen, Thu Hien and some others.

He can even ‘play’ saxophone just like famous saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, entirely by vocal sounds.

Viet sings with the “It’s time” band at small coffee houses in the evenings in the city.

The word "exactly" is not exact in general. In particular, Viet cannot mimic the voice of Khanh Ly, Che Linh and Tuan Ngoc. In other words, not any percent in Viet's voice is able to tell me about similarity with these 3 famed singers’ voice. Such an imitation may be acceptable for the role of clowns on stage. Just for fun! Does anyone want to show this youngster’s limitations instead of singing his praise? He is very young and he should not be under an illusion. Furthermore, he should spend his time to practice singing with his real voice if he wishes to become a real singer. This is my subjective opinion.
