Hennessy concert to perform opera classics

Excerpts from some of the world’s best known operas will be performed at the 15th Hennessy Concert in Hanoi tonight.
Titled “The night of opera”, the concert will features Gioachino Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville,” Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and Charles Gounod’s “Faust” through performances of French soprano Noral Amsellem, Mexican tenor Fernado de la Mora and Chinese bass Hao Jiang Tian.
The show will be broadcast live on a giant outdoor screen at August Revolution Square to give Hanoi audiences a chance to enjoy classical operas.
The concert will take place at 8pm at the Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street.
First organized in 1996, the annual Hennessy concert has brought some of the world’s most talented artists to Vietnam.
