Beethoven, Mozart to hit Vietnam stages

The Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City symphony orchestras will perform works by Beethoven and Mozart this month.

At the Hanoi Opera House on June 3 and 4, a concert organized by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Hanoi Goethe Institute will feature German conductor Jonas Alber, violist Le Hoai Nam, and artists from the orchestra. 

They will perform “Symphony No.7 in A major, Op.92” and “Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61” by Beethoven.

Tickets cost VND150,000 to 450,000 for the public and VND75,000 for students, and are available at the Hanoi Goethe Institute and Hanoi Opera House and at www.vnso.org.vn.

In HCMC, violists Nguyen Truc Thuyen and Tran Thi Hoang Yen will join artists from the city’s Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera to perform under the baton of Nguyen Anh Son.

They will perform Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” and “Sinfonia Concertante” at the HCMC Opera House on June 9.

Tickets cost VND150,000 and VND250,000 for general audiences and VND60,000 for students.
