Taiwanese Teco gets orders from Vietnam
Taiwanese motor manufacturer Teco has received a big order of 30 units of 2MW wind motors from central Binh Thuan Province, according to newswire Digitimes.
The first 10 units will be delivered in the last two quarters of this year, while the other six and the rest 14 ones are scheduled for delivery by Q2/2012 and Q4/2012, according to Teco.
However, Teco did not reveal the value of the order, but said the deal will surely contribute to the revenue growth.
Teco launched Taiwan's first 2MW large-size wind motor in March 2010, leading Taiwan to become one of the eight countries that produce large-size wind motors.
In addition to orders from Vietnam, Teco has received orders from North America, Taiwan and China as well.
Teco has been enthusiastically developing its wind power business. In 2008, Teco received authorization of technology from US-based American Superconductor Corporation, to enhance its design and manufacturing of wind energy products.
It currently has four production facilities for electric fans.
